PONCHO TREE

Can a knitwear item become a gesture of love for the planet?

Kristina Ti made it possible with PONCHO TREE, the capsule collection of ponchos in merino wool and cashmere, RWS certified and mulesing free in full respect of the environment and animals, which supports the reforestation projects of Fondazione Sylva.

Inspired by the shots of Loredana Nemes, photographer and supporter of the Foundation, the ponchos take on the shape and colors of trees and bark, evoking a deep and conscious bond with nature.

Founded in 2021 to react to the serious environmental damage that has affected the olive trees of Salento, Fondazione Sylva deals with environmental regeneration and awareness throughout Italy, to combat climate change and rebuild a healthy environment for future generations.

AKUA LOVES GREEN FUTURE PROJECT

Since 2023, the AKUA Beachwear&Resort collections by Kristina Ti have been partners with the Green Future Project, whose mission is to reverse the effects of climate change, promoting global actions and projects aimed at mitigating the environmental impact of companies, preserving the planet for current and future generations.

In collaboration with the Green Future Project, with every AKUA item sold, forest regeneration projects in Madagascar and habitat conservation in Ecuador are supported.

The packaging is also designed to be eco-sustainable and recyclable, which is why we launched the message #kristinatilovesyouandtheplanet.

REFORESTATION AND BIODIVERSITY

At the Marovolavo reforestation site in Madagascar, where over 90% of the local forests have been destroyed in recent decades, we collaborate in restoring the ecosystem through the planting of native mangroves.

At the Canadè reserve in Ecuador, on the western slope of the Andes, we help preserve the biodiversity of the Choco tropical forest, respecting local flora and fauna.
